Introduction
The following report will explain parkour, a new sport that involves moving in any
environment (urban or natural environments), using the skills of one's body, trying
to be as effective and efficient as possible and making sure movements.
So this work is about its history, it started in France in the 90s, the meaning of its
name, the importance to practice it and the leading exponents of the sport.
Parkour
.-History:
Parkour, l'art du déplacement (the art of displacement), originated in France as a
training method created by David Belle and his friends inspired by Georges Hébert
French instructor of physical education promoter of a new method of training, the
Natural Method or Hébertism. For them the discipline provided for the beauty in
movement, performing stunts and derivatives aesthetic movements of gymnastics.
In 1998, due to different between group members, this group of friends broke away
to develop their own vision of the discipline. That's when they decide to call what
they do Parkour and begin to train a new generation to continue participating in the
development of the movement and creating a wider community of practitioners.
After various TV reports, work as specialists, exhibitions and other types of
performances it was in 2001, after the premiere of the movie "Yamakasi" starring
the same group when the Parkour is shown to the public and begins to spread of
an almost immediate worldwide.
.- Terminology:
PK: Short for "parkour".
Traceur: Parkour practitioner. It means "tracer" or "he who makes the road." The
term is ambiguous for both genders. We can say that was the name of one of the
first groups of practitioners

Being and last: French: Être et durer is parkour motto. This motto derives from the
natural method slogan "Être pour être utile forte" meaning "Be strong to be useful."

The particularity of this discipline lies in its simplicity. You only need a comfortable
and durable soles for sports shoes have a good grip and cushioning (this is
