Zina Johnson: If Outcome 1 is achieved in parts across all three units, would investigations from all
three units be sent in during verification?
Zina Johnson: is this the wrong time for that question?
Kelly Milford: This is fine, please feel free to ask questions.
Zina Johnson: could you say that again please?
Zina Johnson: ok
Zina Johnson: so I'd include part of an investigation from a different unit with it?
Kelly Milford: When selected for verification, you would send what evidence you do have against
Assessment standards, it needn't be the full Unit.
Zina Johnson: ok - thanks

Julie R and Natasha B: For assessment task 2, is there a time limit for the candidates for their write
up? Is there also a time limit for the write up of the assignment?

Zina Johnson: "Recognizing positive achievement" N5-N4 fallback, can the same value added
assignment as submitted for N5 be re-marked at the N4 level, or must pupils complete a second
assignment?
Fiona Saxby: Zina I think that question is going to get answered in this presentation

John Mitchell: Looking at the Unit Assessment Support pack Aug 2013, I am getting a wee bit
confused at the number of terms - Outcomes / Assessment Tasks and Assignment -am I right in
assuming that in N5 Outcome 2: 2 and 2: 3 is covered in the assignment or is the assignment
something different again.

Stephen Harrison: Is there a new data booklet for Nat 4 and Nat 5?

Zina Johnson: I would assume that it is too late to change it now....but we would have liked to see
the periodic table with the atomic and mass numbers with the element following the nuclide
notation needed in N5

Julie R and Natasha B: 1. For the National 4 Added Value Unit and the N5 assignment, are we able to
give the candidates a pro-forma (i.e. a sheet with the headings required already stated) for their
write up?
Zina Johnson: thankyou Kelly- will the presentation be on SQA academy or somewhere different?
Stephen Harrison: sorry, could you repaet that please
Julie R and Natasha B: If we make a pro-forma can we use it aswell as using the candidate guide
Kelly Milford: SQA Academy will host the recordings and the presentations.
