FEW OF PREVIOUS ACCOMPLISHMENTS

The versatile applications of Industrial Engineering in Project Management area
enables me successfully execute design and development of social project in
different sectors. Out of these projects studied under my lead include “Stove
Supply Chain Analysis study in Girar Jarso, Tokey Kutaye and Sire Woredas of
Oromia Regional State to SNV – Netherlands Development Organization” and “A
study on Preparation of Marketing Strategy And Business Plan for Production of
Cookit And Other Fuel Saving Stoves to a local NGO named Partnership for
Integrated Sustainable Development Association (PISDA)”.

I have lead and conducted studies related to clean Cooking Stoves supply chain
analysis and technological development of fuel saving stoves during my stay as
consultant. I am also an active participant of an informal discussion platform
“Talk Energy Ahead-TEA” that is organized every month by GIZ, SNV, Horn of
Africa Regional Environmental Center-HoAREC and Forum for Environment.

My experience with Iranian consultants that is followed by successive trainings
enables be to be an active player in the area of Quality Management System.
Where, the implementation of ISO 9001 in Ethiopia Plastic S.C. has been
performed under my leadership and resulted in full acceptance by a UK based
certification body.

Project based assignments during my stay in Ethiopia Plastic S.C. like machinery
erection and commissioning enables me to improve my practical experience in
addition to the academic projects I handled during my masters study.

The quality control and assurance is another area of expertise. In this regard, the
way to achieve internationally accepted standards in any local firm is practiced.
The pull of the market demand in these days is subject to the level of products
quality.

Others include maintenance management, value chain analysis, operations
management, facility layout design, etc.

B & C Aluminum Plc (Inter Africa Extrusion)/May 2010 – January 2011/
Company Activity: Production and sales of Aluminum profiles and EPDM seals for
customers in the construction sector.
Responsibility: To manage aluminum extrusion plant operations with special focus
on the production of the different aluminum profile systems at an appropriate
quality. Units under my supervision include production, mechanical maintenance,
electrical maintenance, raw materials and finished products stores, procurement
and sales and distribution of products. In addition, special assignments like
machinery erection, commissioning and testing are handled under my supervision.

Quality Management Service Head /Government sector: 11 months/
Ethiopia Plastic Share Company /August 2009 – June 2010/
Company Activity: Production and sales of electric wires, cables, PVC pipes, HDPE
& PPR water pipes, polyethylene film products, and some plastic household items.
Responsibility: To assure the quality of company products to an acceptable level as
per international standards and customer requirements. In addition, making day to
day follow up on the implemented ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System
in the company and assure its continual improvement. Units under my lead
include product quality assurance division, quality management division and
laboratory.



