Armand Hillier Athletic Scholarship
PURPOSE:
To provide a post-high school educational opportunity to students who
have excelled at Augusta High School.
CONTRIBUTOR:
Augusta Booster Club
RECIPIENTS:
Up to four graduating seniors which will include at least one male and one
female.
AMOUNT:
Determined annually by the Augusta Booster Club.
PROCEDURE:
A.
Student must be a graduating senior of Augusta High School and must have
participated as an athlete in a sport during his/her senior year.
B.
Student must have an overall Grade Point Average of 3.0 or above.

A completed scholarship application cover page.
A resume that includes the academic, extra-curricular and work history of the
student.
3. One essay of not more than two pages in length, double-spaced, size 12 font,
with a one inch overall margin covering:
a. The student’s educational goals.
b. Reasons the student feels they qualify for the scholarship.
All documentation will be submitted to the high school senior counselor by March 31
of the student’s senior year.
The Booster Club Scholarship Committee (which consists of the current athletic
director and four members of the Booster Club) will review the applications and
award the Armand Hillier Athletic Scholarships. The parents of any applicant shall
not be eligible to serve on the selection committee.
Each area of the application process will be determined by all of the above
requirements.
