13 Octobre 2014
Nicosia, Cyprus
09:00 – 17:00
Invitation to the joint CEEP / EAC seminar
CEEP, the European organisation representing public services is pleased to invite you to a
seminar that is held in the context of the activity of “exchange of practices between leaders
of public services”. The seminar will is organised jointly with EAC, the Electricity Authority
of Cyprus. The seminar will address a key challenge that public services and in particular
utility and network providers in fields such as water, waste management, public transport
and electricity are facing today: The need to improving productivity and efficiency in light of
financial constraints and increasing external pressures. The seminar should focus in
particular on the role of human resources management and HR innovations in this context.
Focussing on utility and network providers, the seminar seeks to bring together leaders and
top-managers of network service from different European countries. The idea is to organise
an exchange between public service leaders in an open and trustful atmosphere, where
every participants is both a teacher and a learner. The seminar is expected to bring
together around 30-40 participants
This approach is reflected in the programme structure that includes only a limited number
of keynote inputs and focuses more on providing space for mutual learning. The following
key questions may guide the exchange of experience and practices as well as mutual
learning from each other:
- What are the major challenges with view on improving productivity and efficiency within public
service providers?

- Which measures have been taken within your enterprise to foster change and adaptation and
which role does HR play in this context?

may be transferred also to other sectors?

exchange. Therefore we would like to invite you to use the attached registration form also
