Two (2) awards for $5,000 which are renewable up to four (4) years.

Number of awards per year: Up to eight (8) scholarship awards.
Background: The award was established in 2010 to reward students who have achieved academic
success and are well rounded in their school or community. The fund recognizes that many bright and
accomplished students fall short of the financial aid requirements due to income and other circumstances.
This scholarship fund seeks to award those students that may be outside the standard criteria or have
unique circumstances. "Judy and I knew we wanted to give back to our community. We both are
strongly committed to supporting education, so that is where we turned our focus. I graduated from
Barron Collier High School and always knew I would someday give back to my alma mater. We found
there was no financial assistance for high achieving students that did not qualify for government aid. So
we met with the Community Foundation of Collier County and established our scholarship fund." David M. Jones
