Minutes of the last meeting.

Police Report, Neighbourhood Watch.
Fraud, phishing. People being phoned, asked to confirm account numbers and pin numbers.
Never give these out. Do not ring back at a number given out! Call bank etc from ANOTHER
phone line.
Link to be put into minutes for crime figures.

Police say not so many incidents reported; this has a direct effect on police budget &
numbers.

Councillors Report, Shane Hebb.
Have been busy. Planning application to the rear of the post office has been refused.
Asbestos; Alan. Found some lying in Wharf road, Saturday afternoon, traffic driving through
it. Long tale of ineptitude, inertia, lack of response & sense of urgency. Finally swept up by
Road sweeping machine Wednesday.
Squibb planning application did not go to committee, March planning committee now.
Bushcade HGV reported speeding along Corringham road. Victoria Road development goes
to the March planning committee.
Hardie Road, parking both sides, no yellow lines, causing bottleneck. Petition handed in.
Thurrock Community Association Hall excellent. King Street still some issues, no charging
points, 2 disabled spaces will be outside Special Occasions. Rubbish & Recycling bins left in
the middle of the pavement when emptied. Consultation on the libraries to save money not
the correct type of consultation.

a) Poster about guided walks.
b) Grays High street, 19-19th, McMillan Nursing.
c) Female voices forum, discussion for ethnic minorities.
d) £150 rent rebate for forum base.

Public Forum; no funding applications.
Blooming Stanford; planter by the Post Office. Man came from house next to it, road floods;
Anglia Water may have to dig road up.
Subway closures; Silvertown Avenue 09-02 to 27 05; Abbots Chase 18-03 to 27 05.
Letter drop to local residents.
DP world have started work on bridle way at end of Rainbow Lane, next piece for crossing
access road; Gate required for Rainbow lane to stop traffic.
Underpass Wharf Road often floods; install raised footway above flood level, people would
be able to escape if pump fails.
Bushcade; Complain to South Eastern Metropolitan Licensing; get enough complaints and
licence may not be renewed.

Forum Publicity, Advertising.
Music Festival web page updated; Headline performers Charlies Aunt.
Met last Saturday, most funding covered. Not sure which field will be used, stalls.

10 mile walks with history & flags. Idea is for groups to create circular walk 10 miles long.

Bank account has £6914.39; Music Festival £2000,
War Memorial £2082.83.

Future Projects, Initiatives.
Green mould on Portland stone; Trevor & Peter.
Wreath removal; is nothing to do with British legion. Spoke to Colin Cox, wreaths do not
belong to the legion. Suggest wreaths are removed after Christmas, put up signs saying
they will be removed, and tell the council.

Any Other Business
Carnival presentation night, 7th March at the Crooked Billet. £2891 so far, like to make
£3000.
Charlotte Yoxal has raised funds for the 8th defibrillator, has been nominated for a national
award.
The Chair thanked Ella Vine for attending the Forum meeting as an observer.
