NURS 2275 Skills & Pharmacology I
Memo From: Candy Mortenson-Klimpel & Margaret Brewer, Instructor
Spring Semester 2013
Welcome to NURS 2275 – Skills & Pharmacology I – it will be my privilege to coordinate your learning
activities for this course as your instructor.
Let's cover a few start-up details so your hybrid learning through South Central College is a rewarding
experience. This course begins on January 14, 2013, and will be meeting face-to-face on Tuesday,
January 15 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:50 p.m. in room (to be determined) on the North Mankato campus. At
that time you will be provided with the required face-to-face course meeting dates.
NOTE: Students taking their lab on the NM campus will have Margaret Brewer as their instructor for the
actual classroom "lab" only. Candy coordinates & teaches the online portion of the course.
Here are some things I want you to know before we meet.
These two textbooks are for the Pharmacology portion of the course. Please purchase the Hitner
and Nagle Pharmacology textbook from the SCC bookstore. It has an access code to publisher learning
activities for a minimal fee that is embedded into the cost of the textbook. If you buy a used book or a
book from an Internet source, the access code will not function and you will need to pay considerably
more for the access code.
