SOC 354 Sociology of Deviant Behavior (4) MTWR 11:20-12:50 HWC 105 Dr. Callero Examines the historical, cultural, political and economic forces that contribute to the social construction of deviance. Particular attention is given to strategies of social control deployed by those with power. SOC 406 Latin American Film (4) MTWR 11:20-12:50 Bellamy 108 Dr. Dolan This class will address Latin American social issues through the analysis of films from Mexico, Chile, Cuba, Bolivia, El Salvador, Argentina and Brazil. We will use cinema AS TEXT to examine Latin American social history as from the colonial period to the return to progressive reform governments.
