6th ANNUAL “SERVE-a-THON”
The LHS Lion Men’s and Women’s Tennis Teams will be holding a fundraising event this year in
order to supplement our budget. The school district provides budgeted money for travel,
equipment, and supplies; however, this is sometimes not enough to cover all of our expenses.
We are committed to developing one of the best tennis teams in the area. In order to achieve
this goal, we must compete against strong tennis teams that are not in the Central Texas area.
Any donations to help with our expenses and other program needs will be greatly appreciated.
Your gift is tax deductible as allowable by law.
Our “Serve-a-Thon” will consist of each player taking 30 serves—15 to each side of the court.
Each player is asked to solicit donations from as many individuals(family & friends). The
amount of contribution will be determined by the team’s average number of serves that hit in.
For example, if the team’s average number of serves hit in, is 25, and you pledged $1.00/serve,
your donation would be $25.00. If you would like to donate just a flat amount, any donation
amount will be appreciated.
Our event will be held on Saturday, October 17, at 9:00am. We will have food, fun, and music.
It will provide family and friends of LHS Lion Tennis the opportunity to become more involved
with the student athletes and a chance to meet some of your fellow parents.
On behalf of the coaching staff, the student athletes, and Leander High School, we appreciate
your support of our tennis program. This should be a very fun and exciting season. We invite
and welcome you to come join the fun and catch “Lion Fever.”
