2015 Scholarship Application
NYL Scholarships
We are pleased to announce that in 2015, five scholarship opportunities are available for both
graduating members and alumni of the Nevada Youth Legislature.

The Senator Valerie Wiener NYL Scholarship (two $500 scholarships)

The Assemblyman Lynn Stewart NYL Scholarship (two $500 scholarships)

The Nevada Youth Legislature Scholarship (one $300 scholarship)
Scholarships are to be used for tuition, class materials, or campus-related fees. Scholarships
will be paid directly to an accredited institution of higher learning for undergraduate or graduate
study.
The Selection Process
Applicants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:



Academic performance
Demonstrated leadership through scholastic and civic engagement activities
beyond service in the Nevada Youth Legislature
Essay response
Application Deadline
Applications must be received or postmarked on or before close of business, April 27, 2015.
