The focus this week is on the short ‘u’. In the Word Power space provided

Last week we were visited by the author AJ Toledo who read us her book. She told us about The Onward Project
which seeks to locate and publish a photograph of every member of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force who served
overseas during the First World War between 1914 – 1918. If you have a photograph of a relative who served
overseas during the First World War between 1914 – 1918 please send it to onwardnzef.book@gmail.com. It must be
high resolution, head and shoulders and named.
If you know of a family member or family friend who served in the First World War you can look them up. You can
search for details (such as service number) of your solider on the Auckland War Memorial Cenotaph Database:

searching at the National Archives Archway site: http://www.archway.archives.govt.nz/.
