Room numbers commencing with zero are located on the ground floor; commencing with 1 are on the first floor; and commencing with 2 are on the second floor. A: The exact number of students in your class will be known once all students register. Q: What are the lectures like? A: Lectures are a method of teaching in which the lecturer gives an oral presentation intended to present information or teach people about a particular subject. A: Your course timetable will contain information relating to the number of weekly hours of lectures you will have. Q: How will I get to college every day? A: Get up, get showered, get dressed, travel to college, come in the door! !) Dublin Bus provides a good service to the Institute, there is an electronic bus timetable in the Foyer. LUAS Red line provides a regular service, only 5 minutes’ walk from the Institute main entrance. Of course if you live within cycling/walking distance this is a very healthy option! Q: Is going to college expensive? A: Each student is assessed for fees. Students can apply for grants through www.susi.ie. Some courses may have additional costs, such as course materials. Also the Access Office may help in relation to the Student Assistance Fund. Q: Will I have the same picture on my student card for 4 years? A: Currently, student cards are issued on an annual basis using the photograph in your student record. Q: What IS a CA? A: Continuous Assessment. You will be examined throughout the duration of your course, with marks going towards final exams. Your lecturer will explain in more detail when you commence.
