Prayer Guide
Day 8. Pray for love and against hindrances. Lord of love, You are the source
of perfect, unfailing love. Love that is sacrificial, impartial, and permanent! Work
in me a growing love and affection for all people, and especially for all believers –
a love like Yours: merciful, compassionate, ready to forgive, patient, considerate,
deeply concerned about others’ well-being.
“Always keep on praying for all the saints”. Ephesians 6:18

Day 9. Pray for strength and well-being. Dear Father, I worship You as the
One who made me, who intricately fashioned me as a unique person, weaving
me with great skill in my mother’s womb. Today, by Your Spirit within me, I’m
counting on You to bring to my whole being new strength and vitality – physical
and emotional strength, spiritual and moral strength. Strength to do Your will.
“The God of Israel gives His people strength and power”. Psalm 68:35

You are high and exalted, and I am so small and so human, so limited by time
and space. You are holy and I fall so far short of Your glorious ideals. What
amazing grace that You grant me access to You at all times, day and night!
“To open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light and from the power of
Satan to god, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins…by faith in Me”. Acts

Day 11. Pray for the Holy Spirit’s full ministry in you and others. Thank You,
my wonderful Father, the Source of every good and perfect gift, that You have
sent Your Spirit to live in me – as a fountain of living water within me, springing
up to refresh my heart and renew my mind. How sufficient His power is for my
needs and for the needs of all Your children!
“I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through
His spirit in your inner being”. Ephesians 3:16

Day 12. Pray for God’s working in your church. Father, we thank You for the
privilege of fellowship with brothers and sisters in Your family. Lord, may I, and
each of us in our church, grow in Your grace and in the knowledge of Your Son.
In each service may we be worshipful and attentive, eager to learn and change
our ways. And may we learn to use our spiritual gifts and serve as You lead.
“Let us…spur one another on toward love and good deeds…. Let us encourage
one another”. Hebrews 10:24-25

dedicated leaders and volunteers in my church. May they enjoy bold access into
Your presence day by day and refreshment from Your Word. Empower them, by
Your Spirit, in their personal and family lives and in teaching and leading. Help
them realize that their work as Your servants is Your work. Enable them to
surrender their service into Your hands and let You work in them and through
them.
“In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him”.

Day 14. Pray for holiness. Lord, enable me to live out what You have done
deep within me. How much I need greater holiness! May Your Spirit of holiness
empower me to grow righteous thinking and living. May we feed daily on Your
holy scriptures, letting You use them to cleanse our lives and remove our
blemishes, wrinkles, and defects.
“Dear brothers and sisters, you are foreigners and aliens here. So I warn you to
keep away from evil desires because they fight against your very souls”. 1 Peter
2:11
