- improving urban sustainable access
Workshop in Gothenburg, Sweden
May 19-20, 2011
Venue: Chalmersska huset, Södra Hamngatan 11, Gothenburg
Urban Mobility and Health Effects is co-organized by Chalmers University of Technology/ University of
Gothenburg (GU) and the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT) under the umbrella area of transport. The aim
is to deepen the recently initiated collaborations between the universities, and important research currently going
on within four chosen areas will be presented. In connection to these sessions, mutual connections based on
urban conditions and challenges and possibilities facing the cities of Delhi and Gothenburg will be discussed. We
will evaluate and compare current development situations and relationships between these urban areas to
identify possibilities for development for shared activities.
The multidisciplinary approach
The collaboration between Chalmers/GU and IIT Delhi will
address the overarching issues associated with sustainable urban
mobility and health by combining expertise and cutting edge
technologies from the three universities in research areas that
involve the following topics:
The Workshop seminars
The scientific seminar includes presentations from researchers at Chalmers, GU and IITD. Topics presented during
the sessions will cover four selected areas: Air quality and climate change, Safety, Information and
Communication Technology (ICT), and Urban Futures. Time will be allocated for discussions in connection with
the presentations. More information can be found in the workshop program. The workshop aims to further
develop outcomes such as:




