KSBA

Kentucky School Board Association First Degree College Scholarship. Applications are due to guidance
office no later than October 15, 2015. Students must be a high school senior intending to go to college,
from an immediate family who has not earned a college degree, and have obtained an ACT score of at least
a 20. Applications can be found in guidance office. Each school is able to nominate 2 students.

GREATER CINCINNATI WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

One- time scholarship to high school girls. Candidates will be selected on the basis of academic
achievement, excellence of character, and involvement in the sport of golf. $ 1000- $1500 due March 1st.
Applications are available in guidance office.

MENSA FOUNDATION

The Mensa Education and Research Foundation has a number of scholarship awards available to students
entering college the fall semester 2016-2017. Applications are due by January 15, 2016 and are available at
www.mensafoundation.org/scholarships

FARRISH LAW FIRM

The Farrish Law Firm is offering a $1000 scholarship for a students in the Greater Cincinnati Area, a
minimum GPA is not required. Applications can be found at http://kellyfarrishlaw.com Application deadline

KENTUCKY DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

KYTC Civil Engineer/Civil Engineering Technology Scholarship for students planning a career in
engineering. Application deadline is February 1, 2016 and can be found at


GENERAL ELECTRIC CREDIT UNION

Robert A. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship - $2000 scholarship for students who are members of the
Credit union, has a B average, and participated in activities and has a history of volunteerism. Applications
are due by January 11, 2016 and can be found at www.gecreditunion.org under “Current Promotions” under
“Quick Clicks”

KFRW

The Kentucky Federation of Republican Women grants a $1,000 scholarship each year to a college-bound
high school senior girl who has been politically active within the Republican Party. The qualified applicant
will graduate from a Kentucky high school in 2016, is or will be a registered Republican and plans to enroll
at an accredited college or university in Kentucky. Applications can be found in the guidance office and
must be turned in no later than April 1, 2016.

10 WORDS OR LESS SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship grants $500 to students between the ages of 14 and 25 and is due by January 29, 2016.

YOU DESERVE IT SCHOLARSHIP

Students must be a US resident, 16 years or older, and enrolled in a high school, college or university
within the US. Applications can be found at http://www.studentscholarships.org/available.php and are due
by February 15, 2016.

HOLIDAY FOR HEROES

The Holiday for Heroes Foundation is offering a one-time scholarship between $2,500 and $5,000.
Applicants must be a graduating senior who is a child of a Firefighter who has lost their life serving their
community, has been forced into an early medical retirement, has retired (20+ years) after serving their
community, or is still currently employed within their community. Applicants must have recommendation
forms/attachments; essay; GPA 2.5 minimum; extracurricular activities, community service, and/or awards;
and SAT/ACT scored (in the event of a tie after evaluation of the above criteria). Applications are due on
February 15, 2016 and can be found at www.Holidayforheroes.org.

CRIS COLLINSWORTH PROSCAN FUND (CCPF)

The CCPF Queen City Classic chess scholarship awards $1,500 to a high school senior who expresses
strong leadership qualities, dedicates time to volunteering, and has a profound interest and understanding
of the game of chess. Candidates will be evaluated on their GPA, ACT/SAT scores, community involvement,
and a 500 word essay answering the question, “How have the principles of chess and chess strategies
impacted your life and your education?” Applications can be found at www.queencityclassic.org.

STULL ORTHODONTICS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The Stull Orthodontics Scholarship Program awards three $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors.
Applicants must submit a Stull Orthodontics Application form; high school transcript and recent SAT/ACT
scores; letters of recommendation from a guidance counselor, teacher, and/or principal; a personal
reference from a non-family member; any other information which might be helpful or will aid an
application; and a signed parental consent form. Applications are due on February 26, 2016 and can be
found at www.orthosmileteam.com.

KENTUCKY FARM BUREAU EDUCATION FOUNDATION

Scholarships from the KYFB can range from $1,000 to $4,000 to high school seniors who have a minimum
3.5 GPA or 23 ACT score; have a parent who is a Kentucky Farm Bureau member; and for the Leadership in
Agriculture Scholarship, applicant’s parents must be actively engaged in production ag. Applications are
due on February 29, 2016 and can be found at www.kyfb.com/scholarships.

AMERICAN JEWISH COMMITTEE

Simon Lazarus, Jr., Human Relations Award grants cash prizes to one junior, four junior finalists, one
senior, and four senior finalists. Nominees must exhibit integrity, reliability, creativity, and compassion in
everyday activities and volunteer to help and lead others. Applications, including an essay and a
recommendation form, can be found in the guidance office and are due by February 12, 2016.

VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA

The Vietnam Veterans of America award up to $800 to veterans or their dependents. Applications are due
by April 9, 2016 and can be found at www.vva10.org.

KYTESOL

KYTESOL (Kentucky Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages) offers a scholarship of $1,000 to
an ESL/LEP student graduating from a KY high school. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher,
acceptance into a 2- or 4-year post-secondary school, and financial need. Application can be found in the
guidance office and are due by May 15, 2016.
