CCME Awards FAQsQ. What are the eligibility criteria for the John Brian Service Award?
A.
1.
The nominee must be an employee of any branch of the United States Armed Services and
must be directly involved in the delivery of voluntary off-duty education programs on a
military installation.
The Awards Committee, at its discretion, may seek a written recommendation from the
nominee's commanding officer or department head.
3. The nominee must have worked at least two years at the office level as an education services
officer, education specialist, education counselor, or education technician.

If a nominee has been the recipient of any CCME Award in the past 5 years they are deemed
an ineligible nominee
Q. What are the eligibility criteria for the William E. Kennedy Award?
A.
The nominee must be an employee of an institution offering a program of instruction at one
or more military installations.
2. The program of instruction offered by the employing institution must be governed by the
provisions of voluntary off-duty educations programs.

In addition, at their discretion, the Awards Committee may seek a written recommendation
from the President, Vice-President, or Dean from the nominee's educational institution.
4. The nominee has been employed directly in the promotion and delivery of voluntary offduty education programs for a period of at least three years.

If a nominee has been the recipient of any CCME Award in the past 5 years they are deemed
an ineligible nominee.
Q. What are the eligibility criteria for the CCME Corporate Award?
A.
The nominee must be an organization directly involved in the support of voluntary off-duty
education to the armed forces.
2. The Awards Committee, at its discretion, may seek a written recommendation from the
nominee's institutional leader (president, CEO, etc.).

an ineligible nominee.

A.
The nominee must be an institution directly involved in the support of voluntary off-duty
education to the armed forces.
2. The Awards Committee, at its discretion, may seek a written recommendation from the
nominee's institutional leader (president, provost, dean, etc.).
3. If a nominee has been the recipient of any CCME Award in the past 5 years they are deemed
an ineligible nominee.

Q. What are the eligibility criteria for the Barry Cobb Government Organization Award?
A.
1. The nominee must be a government organization directly involved in the delivery of
voluntary off-duty education programs to the military.
2. The Awards Committee, at its discretion, may seek a written recommendation from the
nominee's government agency (director, president, etc.)
3. If a nominee has been the recipient of any CCME Award in the past 5 years they are deemed
an ineligible nominee.
Q. What are the eligibility criteria for the CCME President’s Award?
A.
The Awards Committee will determine whether there is a nominee (individual or
organization) who has made a significant contribution that has advanced the cause of
military education. CCME members are encouraged to make nominations for this award.
2. The nominee can come from any sector - public or private, at the local, state, or national
level. The nominee does not have to be a member of CCME to be eligible for this award.
3. The Awards Committee, in the selection process, should ensure the availability of the
recipient for acceptance of the award at the Annual Conference.

The Awards Committee will submit all nominees for this award to the President for
selection.

Q. How am I notified if my submission won?
A. The award nominator will receive an email for the CCME Awards Chairperson in December
