recommends that we are involved, on-site, during any upgrade. All telephone calls regarding the
installation, if you elect to complete the installation yourself, are billable. If support is needed after hours,
which is defined as anytime other than Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. EST, you will be charged at
time and one-half your standard rate.
o Verify that you have a complete backup just prior to installation. SOCIUS will take every reasonable

that adequate backups of existing software are available to protect against the unlikely event of data loss.
SOCIUS cannot be responsible for failures of existing hardware that take place during the installation.
o The installing tech must have access to the server, as the installation must be performed here.
o Verify that you have sufficient disk space available on your drive for the installation. SOCIUS recommends
at least 5 GB of available disk space. Please keep in mind that this recommendation is a MINIMUM.

o SOCIUS will need to have access to all workstations and printers intended to be used with Sage
100 Standard ERP to make sure that every workstation is set up and configured properly, and that
all printers are also tested. We also recommend having your LAN Administrator or internal MIS
support available if needed. The installation technician will need administrator rights to the network
during the installation process.
o SOCIUS strongly recommends having Internet access on the Sage 100 Standard ERP
workstations for remote troubleshooting purposes. We also strongly suggest having a "Socius"
user ID set up as a network user and a Sage 100 Standard ERP user for support purposes.
o SOCIUS does not install, update, or maintain updates or patches to network operating systems.
The updates to the file server or network operating system need to be done prior to installing the
software. We can, however, arrange to have these services provided if needed.
