Specifications for Material Received from Vendors:
1) Scrap material received shall comply with chemistries listed in table (1).
2) Detailed documentation must be provided with each shipment of material.
 Purchase order number
 Alloy percentages (preferably CDA code numbers)
 Weights (gross/net/tare)
 Vendor name
3) Scrap material is subject to inspection at time of delivery and must be free from:
 Excessive dirt, oil and moisture or any contaminates or noxious chemical residues.
 Visible scrap lead solder, aluminum, iron and mercury.
 Radioactive material
 Copper wire with connectors, insulation, or any kind of paper/ plastic insulation.
 All material must be free from Cd. And As.
4) Material is subject to routine checks with a hand magnet for ferrous material. Any nonforming
material found in sampling subjects the lot to rejection.
5) Container, skid and weight parameters:
 Skidded gaylords
1) Gross weight maximum 4,000 lbs
2) 2 ply + Gaylord/stackable
3) Under size skids under Gaylord not acceptable.
4) Oily, watery material which deteriorates gaylords is not acceptable.
 55 gallon drums skidded;
1) Washed to remove chemicals
2) Gross weight maximum 5,000 lbs
3) Banded tightly
4) Stackable
 Wooden crates and boxes
1) Gross weight 4,000 lbs
2) Stackable ( max 48”x 48” length and width.
6. Scrap must be received in a form readily useable by Kaba Ilco, scrap shall be received in containers
which ensure ready removal from a truck with a tow motor.

8. Physical receipt of material does not constitute acceptance. We reserve the right of rejection for
contamination or misrepresentation until material is satisfactorily melted.
