public good.
Outreach focuses on the application and
provision of institutional resources for
community use with benefits to both
campus and community in each ISU
geographic location. Diversity is
represented through our university
community as non-resident enrollment
contributes to the cultural enrichment of
the community.
Partnerships are collaborative interactions
for the mutually beneficial exchange,
exploration, and application of knowledge,

Economic impact studies measure the
direct economic impact of an organization’s
spending plus additional indirect spending
on the economy as a result of direct
spending. Total economic impact measures
the dollars that are generated within Idaho
due to the presence of ISU. University
spending from non-state funding
demonstrates the resources the University
is able to contribute to the growth of the
local and state economy.
Contributions to intellectual and financial
capital between the community and the
university requires a commitment by both.
Synergies of learning, discovery and
innovation cannot occur without these
conversations.
The ISU workforce training program
provides opportunities for personal and
professional enrichment, to those who
would otherwise not have access to
educational programs and services.
Continuing education and professional
development programs provide a valuable
contribution to the region’s training and
education each year.
