LIMS Miller Travelling Fellowship
for Postgraduate Students in the La Trobe Institute for Molecular Sciences
The La Trobe Institute for Molecular Sciences (LIMS) may award LIMS Miller Travelling
Fellowships (up to $2,500) to assist postgraduate students to attend an international conference at
which they are making a presentation or potentially another activity that will strongly support their
research projects. Preference will be given to students in their second or third year. Funds will be
available to support a maximum of one fellowship per candidature. Funds will be distributed on a
competitive basis and will be considered four times per year. (The deadlines for applications are:
Feb 1, May 1, Aug 1, Nov 1.) The travel fund is administered by the School Administration Team
Leader through the Executive Director of LIMS. Some of the fellowships are reserved for students
who are Australian residents or Australian citizens but some are available for international
students.
Postgraduate students should supply information about the proposed use of the Fellowship using
this application form. The Miller Foundation would like to receive a brief acknowledgement from the
recipients with details of the conference they attended and their area of research interest upon
completion of the Fellowship.
