Main discussions are focused on earthquake disaster. 到達目標 Course Goals The cause of natural disaster is natural phenomena but disasters occur in relation of artificial urban environment. Mitigation planning against such disasters should be based on both of natural and artificial environments. Evaluation methodologies for seismic hazard and risk in urban area are introduced and disaster mitigation methods are discussed. 授業計画 Course Schedule 1.Introduction (1) Outline of natural disasters in the world 2.Seismicity and hazard evaluation (2-3) Mechanism of earthquake occurrence and seismic activities in the world Surface ground effects to earthquake motions in urban area Methodology for seismic hazard evaluation 3.Risk evaluation (4-9) Seismic performance of building and urban facilities Methodology for seismic risk evaluation Building damage Civil construction damage 4.Tsunami disaster (10-12) Case studies of Tsunami disaster in the world 5.Making report of your country about natural disaster using with visual maps (13-15) Presentation for all with Power Point, discussion 準備学習(予習・復習)等の内容と分量 Homework No preparations.
