www.tu-berlin.de Postdoctoral Position In-situ X-ray analysis of corrosion-stable Pt nanoparticle fuel cell catalysts The Electrochemical Energy, Catalysis, and Materials Engineering Group of the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Berlin Institute of Technology (Technische Universität Berlin, Germany) seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the field of in-situ X-ray based analytics, nanoparticle synthesis and electrochemistry. Research will focus on the synthesis, in-situ and ex-situ X-ray based analytics (Small Angle X ray Scattering, SAXS, Wide angle X ray scattering, WAXS, X ray diffraction, X-ray absorption (XAS, XANES, EXAFS) and electrochemical characterization of corrosion stable oxide-supported Pt nanoparticles for the oxygen reduction reaction. Beyond experimental lab work, tasks will involve the generation of written progress reports to the project sponsor and the advising of PhD students. Hands-on experience with in-situ SAXS, WAXS, XRD techniques, materials synthesis, X-ray and electronbased materials characterization as well as general electrochemistry, voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy are key prerequisites. The ideal candidate for this position holds a PhD degree in Chemistry, or in Chemical or Materials Science and Engineering, is a self-driven individual with a strong publication history. The position is available immediately for up to 2 years. Interested individuals should send their CV, a list of publications, pdf files of their three top publications, along with names and contact information of three references to Prof. Dr. Peter Strasser pstrasser@tu-berlin.de .
