Desired Service Description
Immunization of four (4) mice (Balb/c) and serum screening (approx.
6 to 10 weeks)
One or two mice (titer ³1:10,000) are selected for the fusion. Primary
screening is done by ELISA; confirmatory screening can be user’s
particular application (approx. 2-3 weeks)
Two of most promising hybridomas will be selected and cloned
(appprox. 2-3 weeks)
10 mice will be injected (approx. 4 weeks)
CL 350or CL 1000 flask will be used (concentration approx 1 –2
mg/ml) (approx. 4 weeks)
50 ml of antibody containing supernatant will be collected
(concentration ~50 ug/ml) (approx.. 4 weeks)
6 Vials will be delivered
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------NINDS Center Terms of Use:
Because the Monoclonal Antibody Core is supported by NINDS, all publications involving work done in the
Core must comply with the NIH Public Access Policy (see publicaccess.nih.gov). It is the investigator’s
responsibility to ensure compliance.
Investigators are required to cite the Core (NS050274) in the Acknowledgments section of any publication that
results from use of Monoclonal Antibody Core.
Investigators are required to inform the Core Manager, Min Dai, when a paper which makes use of the facility
is accepted for publication.
Investigators are encouraged to inform the Core Manager, Min Dai, when an antibody generated by the Core is
shared with another lab. It is the applying lab’s responsibility to maintain records which allow tracking of
reagent sharing.
Pursuant to NIH policy, antibodies generated by the Monoclonal Antibody Core must be shared with the
scientific community once initial publication has occurred.
