Please note the date and time of Roosevelt’s 2015 graduation: The Roosevelt High School Graduation will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 @ 8:00 p.m. at the Minneapolis Convention Center. Counseling Office: CREDITS/GRAD TESTS Seniors that will receive their diploma or are within 2.25 credits of receiving a diploma AND meet graduation testing requirements will be eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. Senior graduation status letters were mailed to families in December 2014 and an updated letter will be mailed again in April 2015. If you have questions or concerns about your or your senior’s graduation eligibility, please contact the counselors for assistance. 612-668-4845 College Applications Continue to work on and submit your college/university admission applications! Congratulations to those seniors who have already been accepted to college!! For any college application and/or financial aid assistance, please contact your counselor OR Tiffany Enriquez, Career and College Center Coordinator (207/CCC). 612-668-4822 Measurements for Caps and Gowns: Seniors, you will be measured for your cap and gown during advisory on January 28th. The cap, gown and Roosevelt tassel are provided by the school and are a keepsake for the senior, however no alterations to the caps and gowns may be made. Graduation Fees: Each graduating senior who participates in the ceremony must pay a fee of $35.00. This fee is mandated by the Minneapolis Public School District and covers the cost of graduation transportation, printing of programs, flowers, facilities rental, and other miscellaneous items. Fees must be paid by May 27, 2015 to Ms. Christol, Room 100. A receipt will be issued. Checks should be made payable to Roosevelt High School. Student Obligations: Senior student obligations (sports equipment, textbooks/Media Center materials not returned, any other charges owed to the school) must be paid by May 27, 2015. Please watch for information from the Media Center during the months of January and then again in April regarding student obligations. A first set of notices about lost and overdue books went out to seniors during advisory in late November. Your student may stop in the Media Center at any time to see if they have any outstanding obligations. If you have any questions, please call Kari Hansen, Media Specialist @ 612-668-4827. The Roosevelt Sagamore Yearbook: 2011 Yearbook: Yearbooks make great holiday and graduation gifts! If you don’t purchase your 2015 yearbook by the December 17 deadline, the price will go up to $60.00. We accept checks and money orders made out to Roosevelt High School. Cash is gladly accepted. **Remember – you can put a down payment of at least half of your total order to secure your yearbook! Graduation Announcements or Class Rings may be ordered through Jostens or any provider you choose. This is an optional service and is an added cost to students, parents or guardians. Should you wish to order, you will deal directly with the provider. Jostens WILL be in our building on January 28th during both lunches should you have questions. Junior-Senior Prom will be on May 22nd from 7-11 p.m. Cost is $55 per person and does include dinner. Tickets will have to be purchased by April 24, 2015. Prom will be at Blaisdell Manor, 2322 Blaisdell Avenue South | Minneapolis, MN 55404 Lastly, no personal checks will be accepted from students or parents/guardians after May 1, 2015 for payments of any kind.
