MEMORABILIA
We are grateful to all who have kindly loaned us or given us the items
we have on display. These include medals, service record and pay
documents, a shell case, facsimile copies of St John's Gospel issued to
soldiers at the Front and 45 silk regimental postcards embroidered in
France during the War, three of which bear personal messages from
soldiers at the Front.
REMEMBERING
Please feel free to look at these items during the interval.
We also have copies of the "World War One Walking Trail", issued by
the York Museums Trust in advance of their WW1 Exhibition at the
Castle Museum which opens tomorrow (28th June). Please take a
copy.
