Innovative New Idea Award
This award differs from the other categories. Instead of awarding an initiative that has proven successful within
an organisation, it recognises an innovative new idea with great potential.
This idea should have the possibility to help an organisation’s business model to become more sustainable,
through the use of new or existing financial techniques or approaches, or facilitate the financing of sustainable
projects.
Potential benefits must include environmental, social or economic as well as financial.
Entrants for the award should be able to persuade the assessors and/or judges of its expected impact, viability,
and scalability. The judges are looking for a project, initiative or concept in the early stages of development that
will be exciting to watch develop and, in the opinion of the judges, has the potential to create real change to the
way your organisation and/or other organisations behave.
This category is open to ideas developed by various types of organisations from start-ups to large multinationals,
and types of individuals from entrepreneurs or students to business executives (and anyone else with a great
idea to transform finance for the future!). Entrants to the other categories may also enter this category for
projects at an early stage concept rather than a fully implemented programme.
Evidence should build a compelling case based on originality of thought and understanding of the impact the
idea will have once developed and implemented.
