YOUTH CHALLENGE PROGRAM CAMP MINDEN
Dear Parents or Guardians:
Congratulations and thank-you to all you parents for all your support and guidance to
your cadets this cycle. The cadets of class 2014-1 are near completion of the
residential phase of the Youth Challenge Program. Graduation will be held at the
Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, 705 Elvis Presley Avenue, Shreveport, Louisiana at
11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014. We have enclosed directions to help guide you
to the graduation site on the back of this letter. Cadets are free to leave as soon as
they pick up their graduation packet immediately following the graduation ceremony.
The following hotel is in close proximity to the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium and may
be contacted for reservations for the nights of July 18th and 19th. When making
reservations, please notify the reservation clerk you are with the “Youth Challenge
Program Graduation”. Please make reservations by July 10th for special rates.
Directions are included in this letter. (The Youth Challenge Program is not responsible for
reserving rooms nor are we an affiliate of any hotel listed.)

All prescription medications will be placed in the cadet’s personal belongings bag before
they leave Camp Minden on the morning of graduation. When you pick up your child
following graduation, please check and make sure all medications are in their bag. We
will not mail any medications home.
