Motion for interim treasurers, Sheri Fakhreddine and Sue Johnson will serve as Co-Treasurers and will be
added to the signature card. Gina Roske who had planned to be our new treasurer had to resign prior to being
trained due to a job change. Ann Olson motioned to approve. Keri Hall seconded. All were in favor. Motion
carried. There was discussion regarding the treasurer still acquiring a laptop that would contain excel and
quick books so that all of the PTSA info would be kept on it. We approved at the September meeting the
expenditure of $200 in order to purchase a new version of quick books. Sue Johnson motioned the expenditure
up to $400 for Sheri to to purchase a treasurer laptop including appropriate warranties. Kei Hall seconded. All
were in favor. Motion carried.
With Sue Johnson taking on the Co-Treasurer position and she is the GRAB chair, we need to consider finding
someone to possibly co-chair with her. We just need to find someone with a love of books that is willing to learn
more about our literacy goals. Also, once we establish our treasurer position, we need to begin seeking a new Vice
President. Jennifer Potter has let Ann know that due to her health she is going to need to step down from her
position.
NEED TO LOOK FOR A GRAB CO-CHAIR AND A READ-A-THON CHAIR.

Searching for 2-3 committed volunteers. In order for PTSA to continue to do the amazing things that we do, we
are looking for 2-3 committed individuals that can commit 1-2 hours per week and attend the monthly
meetings. During certain times of the year we are busier than others and with a few individuals that could
oversee a few areas, would lighten the load on our board and chair people.
 Membership status report. We have 32 paid memberships and the dues will be sent into the MNPTA to
keep us in good standing. Status on 990 file? Ann filled out the forms and also emailed PTA MN regarding
our membership status. Adrienne will mail in the check for the dues tomorrow. The 990 has been filed. Ann
also emailed the PTA MN the updated list of our current board and chair members. The $50 gift card for
memberships was awarded to Sue Johnson.
 Paulii Temple will be sending out membership cards to all members Rochelle Ament graciously typed up
all of our membership and volunteer forms onto a google doc. When each chair has an activity, they are
able to access the list of volunteers and members in order to secure the help that they need. Contact Ann
for the access. Please add important contact info to your phones.
 Feedback on ad in paper the ad in the Citizen Newspaper looked great. We have already had quite a bit of
feedback that has been very positive. Since we had a snow day on Monday they sent out a reminder blast
for our meeting. We will have another blast sent this WEDNESDAY with a reminder about the fundraiser
distribution and run the “ad” in that blast listing the items PTSA has funded.
Updates on events

Fundraiser Distribution Nov 13 at the Becker Baptist Church Things are looking good for the schedule. We
are going to have a fire truck coming from Becker. The new one with the flood lights so that we can see as it
gets dark. We have someone from the district bringing a pellet jack plus 3 students from block 3 to help
unload the truck. Bordon from choir is planning to send 5 students during block 4 to help with distribution.
Also Nancy Lorentz will be coming with some students. Becky Bodien will also be bringing people kids
from the musical. We should plan for food during the distribution…. Karen motioned to approve $50 for
food during the distribution and will contact Jodi Friedl to see if she will make cheese potatoes. Sheri F.
seconded, all in favor. Motion carried.

we have verification.

Volunteers needed Adding a book area for parents to be able to shop while they are waiting. Karen agreed to
help oversee the book area.

*Website update-Celia Mix We are hoping to continue to build on the website. Possibly still plan to add a
slideshow. Also, details of expenditure for parents to understand exactly how funds are going to be used.
Keeping parents in the “loop”

spreadsheet as forms are filled out.

Funding Requests *Drama Dept request $1500. After lengthy discussion into the evening, $1000 was approved
for the Drama Dept. Some things to keep in mind regarding the drama dept… When purchasing tickets to
attend the musical, the monies go into the general budget. Plus the activity fee for being in drama also goes into
the general budget. Like other groups, there is budgeted amount. There is $10,000 budgeted for drama. $4500$5000 goes to pay royalties. We are hoping that the drama dept would participate in the fundraiser next year.
Even if all of the drama kids only sold a couple pizzas to their own families, it would bring in some nice funds.
We are nervous that we “might not” have a fundraiser next year. Still waiting on Executive Council to meet.
(Admin with superintendent) They plan to use the dollars for costumes and also props. They plan to rent the
costumes PLUS reuse all items.
