Personnel costs

In calculating the costs for PhDs and/or postdocs you must use the salary table provided on the
NWO website: http://www.nwo.nl/financiering/hoe-werkt-dat/Salaristabellen.
Co-funding by external partners

The project is subject to a co-financing requirement of at least EUR 250.000, of which at least
50% in cash.

The co-financing is added to the grant to be applied for from NWO and should be included in the
budget.

The figures mentioned in this table must correspond with those mentioned in the letters of
commitment.
Research costs & Bench fee

No budget can be requested for expenses covered by the bench fee.

Management of the project consortium, for example a (non-academic) process manager, up to
5% of the NWO grant.

Explanation of this format:
This budget table is an integral part of the project application for the SURF-call: Smart Urban Regions of
the Future. In this budget table the contribution from the applicant of the University of Applied Sciences
is estimated. Please provide details on the budget you request from Regieorgaan SIA as well as details
on co-funding in the separate excel sheet. This excel sheet should be submitted with the application
using the Iris-system.
Please provide a description of staff costs and material costs in column A and list the name of the
corresponding organization in column B (this column is included in case there are several Universities of
Applied Sciences participating in the project). If the field you are completing concerns staff costs, fill in
column C to F and H. Column G and I will then be calculated automatically.

The maximum budget that can be requested from Regieorgaan Sia is €300.000,The projects are subject to co-financing requirements of at least 25%, i.e. Regieorgaan Sia
contributes up to a maximum of 75% of the total costs.
Changes to the budget that occur whilst the project is running must always be approved in
advance by Regieorgaan Sia
