that God has not forgotten any of us, even in our

not simply alleviate the burden of Valjean's
momentary suffering. The Bishop lays a new
burden on Valjean: the responsibility to touch
others in the midst of their own suffering. Through
this we know that the story is trying to tell us that
God has not forgotten any of us; but we must not
forget each other in this life. Because one day we

should begin building for that by helping each other
now.

brief scene where Jean Valjean lets Javert escape
from the barricade brings me to tears every time.
It's a perfect picture of forgiveness and grace.
She also enjoys coffee and travel and getting
completely absorbed in a really great novel. A lot
of my energy goes into my church family at
Southwest, where I sing on the praise team and

MORGAN LANGLEY

Senior.
Morgan will be playing Eponine.
Describe your character: I play Eponine, the
daughter of the Thenardiers, who is secretly in love

the streets, Eponine learns the ways to con and

students at the barricade.
Why did you want to be in the show? I have always
dreamed of playing Eponine. I actually sang her
solo, "On My Own" in my high school's end of the
year production my senior year. Even before then,
I wanted to be in a production of this show in any
way possible. Les Miserables is such a classic show
and honestly, one of the most memorable. This is
my first show with the FOA so, I didn't quite know
what I was getting into (director, fellow cast
members, venue) and I was pleasantly surprised!
Kristi did an excellent job at casting!.

fro. And would like you to know this show is the
best I've ever been in! There is so much talent in
this cast, it's unbelievable!! We've all worked very
hard for many hours to come together and make
this happen. Sweat, blood, and (not many) tears
have made this experience one I will never forget.
First, I would thank my mother and Grandpa. My
mother was the one who gave me my first push into
music by teaching me my first piano and voice
lessons. My grandpa would always ask me to sing
and play for him, even when I was sad and told me
to go to music. He said, "When you get old like me,
you may not have anything but music to go to. You
may not be able to dance or run, but you can
always have a song in your head" and that has
been my motto ever since. They have been the ones
that have encouraged me to pursue music as my
dream. If they hadn't, I would never have had the
chance to audition for this part.
Secondly, I'd like to thank Kristi Pulliam for
casting me as Eponine! Without Kristi's faith in a
newcomer to the FOA, I would never have had this
awesome experience nor would I have met all of the
great people that I've worked with over the past 2
months!
Morgan‘s previous roles include I played minor
roles in a few plays at The Arts and Science Center
in Pine Bluff and my most recent musical in 2011
was 42nd Street where I played Anne (Anytime
Annie) Reilly.

Belmont School of Dance in Watson Chapel,
Arkansas and continued my training at Ms. Tana's
Dance Factory, under Tana Soto Cook and Dorothy
Soto, and later, Danzsource, under Ginger Axom
Cooper both in White Hall, Arkansas.
I've been in choirs since the 3rd grade under many
great directors. Taylor Elementary Singers, White
Hall Junior High Mixed Ensemble, White Hall
High School Concert Choir, White Hall High School

even worked at Gamestop for 3 years. I enjoy
spending time in my dad's workshop building
things, especially show props. And would like you
to know this cast is full of wonderfully talented
people so keep an eye on everybody! From the
beggars to the students, the kids, and the orchestra,
everybody does a wonderful job!
John would like to thank Both of my parents are
music directors and I have been able to be a part of
musical theater for my entire life. I learned to walk
in the aisles of the Wynne High School Auditorium.
Mr. Randy Yarnold (our high school drama
teacher) was responsible for starting my acting
career. Many others have played a part in my
acting and I appreciate them all. This is my second
show with the FOA and Kristi Pulliam and Dr.
Bartee and I want them to know what an honor it
has been to be under their direction.
I also want to thank my "sounding board" my sister
Julie and a special thank you to Becca Craft for
supporting me and taking care of me!.
John‘s previous roles include, after being a flying
monkey in "The Wizard of Oz", my first big role
was as Winthrop in "The Music Man". I had chorus
roles in "Fiddler on the Roof", "Guys and Dolls", and
"Annie". I played Archibald Craven in "The Secret
Garden" and the Phantom in "The Phantom of the
Opera". For both of those roles, I was nominated for
the Best Male Lead at the Orpheum High School
Musical Theater Awards in Memphis.

Meet
SHERRY PHILLIANS
Sherry is 53 and is from Wynne. She is a
Music director/Elementary Music teacher
for Wynne Public Schools.
Sherry will be playing Chorus.
Describe your character: Innkeeper's Wife, Old
Beggar Woman and Guest at the Wedding:
These are three very different members of the
society and approaching the story from their
viewpoints shows that all members of this society
were truly miserable: the narrow-minded
Innkeeper's wife who couldn't give a convict a
decent break, the former prostitute, now old
beggar woman still forced to earn her living on the
streets and the well-to-do wedding guest who is
clueless that her word is about to disintegrate.
Why did you want to be in the show? I have
enjoyed FOA shows for many years. Les
Miserables' is one of my favorite musicals and the
chance to be IN a show with a top-notch cast, and
production team AND with my entire family was
a dream come true.
What is your favorite portion of the show? It is so
hard to choose my favorite scene, but my favorite
line in the musical comes at the end.."To love
another person is to see the face of God." I am
reduced to tears every time.
She also enjoys: The theatre is my passion. I love
the magic of a production, of getting the audience
to come along with us as we tell our story on-stage,
to open their hearts and minds to a wonderful tale
that makes us think and feel in ways we never
thought possible before THAT show, whatever IT
is.
I also love to read and spend every spare minute
with my head buried in a good book. Anything
that involves my family is the BEST time of all.
And would like you to know I want people to see
the injustice of labeling people. There are good
people, wonderful people, who try with all of their
being to do the right thing, yet fall into
unfortunate circumstances that put their lives on
a path that they would never choose under
ordinary circumstances. It is never the wrong
choice to love, to give and to forgive.
Sherry would like to thank my husband Dan, and
children John and Julie for putting up and going
along with my 30+ years obsession with the
theatre, my Mom, Dad and sister for all the love
and support they showered on me, to Randy
Yarnold for being a generous and enthusiastic
theatre colleague and collaborator, to Miz Gladys
Blanton, my elementary music teacher for
fostering my love of music and to Kristi, Miranda
and Dr. Bartee for giving me this amazing
