Progress expectation
By the end of the class the student is expected to be able to use and
remember irregular verbs correctly. Make sentences using past simple, not
only with regular verbs but also irregulars.
“What did John yesterday?” to improve the daily use of English words and
verbs.
The class will focus on reviewing irregular verbs in order to explain what
John did yesterday. Also we will review everyday tasks we all do when we
start our day, in this case the student will use Simple Present.
The overall purpose of the lesson is that the student learns and reviews the
correct form of some irregular verbs. She will also make sentences using
present simple.

Irregular Verbs: The student should be able to tell what she or someone
else did the previous day using irregular and regular verbs.
Natti’s English level is Basic Beginner, she has taken several classes at the
institute where she works. Present simple, past simple, regular verbs,
present continuous, are assumed to be known.
Flashcards with different verbs.
The student will have to make a short story using the flashcards given and
The lesson went as planned, the student was interested during the whole
time, she didn’t seemed bored or tired and that’s a good thing, especially
because it was our first class together and it is very important for her to
decide if she wants to continue or not.
The student showed interest in the activities, which represented a challenge
for her, but it was a good thing because it pushed her to try harder to
remember all the learnt irregular verbs.
The lesson was a little shorter than expected, for some reason the class
ended 8 minutes before scheduled, even though I had some backup
activities. Maybe it would have been a good idea to make her write down all
the irregular verbs we used so that she can study them at home.
The materials where the best part, the pictures were colorful and interesting,
this made the student understand the printed situations and verbs better.
The TTT was pretty good, the student did almost all the talking.
