Economy Duration of study: 3 years/ 6 semesters (180 ECTS) Professional orientation: Commercial business and small entrepreneurship Professional qualification: Bachelor of Economics The main aim and purpose of the study is to introduce, depending on the orientation, the fundamental and the most advanced theoretical and practical aspects of professional performance and implementation of commercial and entrepreneurial skills. Professional study of Economics teaches and trains students for managing small and medium firms. It is dedicated for students who see their future in employment and self-employment in small and medium enterprises and service firms, consulting and engineering firms. By completion of studies, students acquire: Adequate basic economic knowledge, basic mathematical and statistical knowledge, and Knowledge in the field of application of information technology; Appropriate theoretical and technical knowledge related to research and application of analytical methods and models; By taking professional orientation, students acquire specific knowledge and skills connected to it as well as the mastery of basic economic knowledge and specifics related to each profession; The mandatory professional practice aims to enable students of high quality business practices needed for direct involvement in the world of business; Study provides a respectable amount of knowledge and skills necessary to successfully communicate and share information Graduate students of this orientation will be able to perform tasks of higher levels of responsibility: Private and public sector, Offices of the territorial organization, businesses, Public administration (local, regional,) Professional and other associations, As independent experts in the field of trade and small business entrepreneurship. Karst agriculture Duration of study: 3 years/ 6 semesters (180 ECTS) Professional orientation: Karst plant production and karst animal husbandry Professional qualification: Bachelor of Karst Agriculture During the first five semesters, in addition to theoretical teaching, students are required to participate in practical education in laboratories, research laboratories and in Innovation and technological center of the Polytechnic. In the fifth semester, students are given vast selection of facultative courses through which they can expand their knowledge by selecting different modules of their choice to acquire specialist knowledge in certain technologies of plant and livestock production. Depending on the group of selected modules, they may be able to work independently within their professional area (crop production and animal husbandry), or continue their education at the graduate level within the biotech and other sciences. They will be able to find their jobs on their own property, or as managers and organizers of crop production on farms of large floor-lords (big food production companies), or work as assistants in agricultural products and equipment trade. Upon completion of their studies, students will be qualified for the following jobs: Farm production manager and / or supervisor; small farm manager; administrative clerk in the bodies of local selfgovernment for a variety of tasks in the field of agriculture and rural sector; technical assistant in the research institutions in the field of agriculture (senior technician); and associate in the affairs of trade and transport of agricultural equipment and products. Basic agricultural fields so that they can continue their education in graduate studies in any of the fields of agricultural or related sciences Team and individual work and basic skills of business communication (situation analysis, writing applications and reports for projects, public relations communication). Food Technology Duration of study: 3 years/ 6 semesters (180 ECTS) Professional orientation: Food technology Professional qualification: Bachelor of Food Technology Main objective of professional study „Food technology“ is in the development of "professional skills" that are needed for quick inclusion in the process of working in different sectors of the economy and the SME sector, or continuing studies at specialist graduate study as determined by a transfer of ECTS credits. During the first four semesters, with theoretical part of the course, students perform laboratory practices through intensive practical work in the laboratory and in the Innovation Centre. In the fifth semester, students have the opportunity to expand their knowledge through elective courses. In the last semester students are performing only practical work in the Innovation Center or in the food industry. During their studies, students gains general and specific competencies and skills, with which they will be able to work independently in their own or co-owner businesses. Completion of the study they will be able to follow the latest trends in the profession and they are able to directly manage complex technological processes.
