Other related concepts: History, Discovery, Exploration Attitudes displayed Cooperation (Students cooperate and collaborate, leading and following as the situation demands. Creativity (Students are creative and imaginative in their thinking.) Empathy (Students imagine themselves in another's situation to understand their reasoning and emotions) Learner Profile attributes developed Thinkers (Apply thinking skills creatively and critically to recognise and approach problems) Risk Takers (They are willing to explore new roles and ideas, working in their stretch zone) Reflective (They give thoughtful consideration to what they are learning and how they learn best) At the end of this unit students will understand: The reasons for exploration That we can learn from explorers and exploration from the past The positive and negative consequences of exploration At the end of this unit students will be able to: Apply their understanding of exploration in new ways Think about different points of view with regard to an exploration.
