NTT – No. 5 - TENDER 0519 – WATER TREATMENT PLANT Question Clarification 1. What is the design temperature for the plant?. In other words, Assume a design temperature range from 10 to 30 degrees C. what is the maximum and minimum temperature of the raw water in which the plant must be in operation. 2. Can we have more details of the Stormwater and Groundwater Characteristics in 2.3.2? 3. It would be helpful for us to have a survey of the site with levels, All information available data and design parameters are contained within tender documentations 2.3.2. Council will provide on request. distances, etc. Do you have this information in CAD? Can you provide it? 4 There are a few tender forms that must to be filled out by us. Can you provide these forms in word format? We provided the Word version of the tender forms. Council to forward to tenderers. 5. In the specification, Max TSS in UF feed is 25 mg/L, however the spec says "Prior to the incoming flow balancing tank the stormwater will be filtered to 3 microns" in Page 23, and also "TSS ~ 3 mg/L (after strainer)" in the MF/UF design parameters table in Page 24. The PFD also shows a kind of filtration system upstream of MF/UF. Table 5 – Stormwater characteristics states that the TSS of the Stormwater is 25 mg/l (max). Could you please confirm what kind of filtration it is, and also if the UF design SS is 3mg/L? Page 1 This stream is filtered to 3 microns and the filtered water is assumed to have a maximum residual TSS in the region of 3 mg/l. After the 3 microns filter, the filtered water is delivered either directly to the treatment plant balance tank and/or to the various injection points to replenish the groundwater. When groundwater is extracted and delivered to the treatment plant balance tank, it is assumed to have zero suspended solids (Table 6 states Total Suspended Solids N/A). The water entering the treatment plant balance tank is therefore assumed to contain 3 mg/l SS (max). The supplier is reminded that they are responsible for all process guarantees etc., and therefore if the supplier requires additional filtration prior to the MF/UF plant, they must specify and include an appropriate selection. Regarding the type of filtration system to achieve 3 microns filtration prior to injection into the groundwater system, this is entirely the responsibility of the supplier. Page 2
