Pritchard-Higgins Design Award. The design award recognizes a manufacturing company for outstanding achievement in developing an innovative product design and is one of eight Awards of Excellence in Metalworking presented annually at the PMA sponsored METALFORM Conference. A $1,500 cash prize is part of the award. Buhrke Industries arranged to donate the cash prize to the Leyden High School Machine Tool Advisory Council in support of the school’s metalworking skills training program. East Leyden High School is located in Franklin Park, IL and runs one of the Chicago Area’s leading trades education programs with 110 students enrolled.
