Siuslaw Open at Sandpines, September 6th, 2012
The weather was perfect for golf – cool, cloudy, and almost no wind, but the new Ford Focus for a holein-one on hole number 5 went unclaimed. Andy Johnson came closest on the hole, with Jack Butler ,
Michael Bartlett, and Tim Salisbury claiming similar honors on the other par 3 holes.
The winning team for low gross was Jack Smrekar, John Bartlett, Michael Bartlett, and Aaron VanDehay.
Runnersup were John Sutter, Elaine Padovani, Kim Friese, and Gwen Friese. Low net honors went to
Andy Johnson, Kurt Hargens, Jack Butler, and Bob Teter. Low net runnersup were Harry Abel, Joe Hatzel,
Tim Salisbury, and Rick Stevens.
Straight drive honors went to Dawn DeWolf and David Doctor, and long drive winners were Ron Green
and Linda Schantal. Louis Mawcinitt won the chipping contest.
