Shah About the University Devi Ahilya University: Indore University was established in 1964 by an act of legislative assembly of Madhya Pradesh. In 1988, the university was renamed after Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar as Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya ‘DAVV’ (University).
