1. Overview of Documentation Requirements
Ms. Wynn provided an overview of document requirements for live vs enduring material activities.
Internet activities include:
 Enduring Material (print or CD/DVD based activities)
 Internet Enduring Material
 Internet Live Enduring material (webinar)
Please refer to the Enduring Materials checklist on our CME Resources webpage at
http://www.acep.org/Continuing-Education-top-banner/Resources/ for a complete list of “front
matter” requirements that must be communicated to participants prior to starting enduring
material educational activities.
Also, please note that there are additional requirements for Internet activities and Internet Live
activities over and above what is required for a print or CD/DVD based Enduring Material activity.
For an internet-live enduring material, you are required to disseminate front matter requirements to
participants in advance of the webinar. You will also be required to provide a Timed Agenda that
supports the number of CME hours requested. There will only be one (1) occurrence for an
Internet-Live enduring material.
2. New On-line CME Application System
Our initial July 1st, 2015 launch date has been postponed. Ms. Gonzales will provide updates via the
CME connection e-list as we continue to progress through the design/development process. The
new hosted system will include a “master” disclosure system which will replace the need to obtain
written disclosures for each individual per activity. Our agreement with Attendee Interactive
includes three online webinar training sessions for customers. The current system will be phased
out over the next 3-4 years as activity approvals expire.
Ms. Gonzales will be conducting a 30 minute question/answer session (not training session) with
Chapter Executives in conjunction with the ACEP15 Chapter Execs Forum. Chapter Staff not
attending are encouraged to communicate questions or concerns related to the new CME system to
their Chapter Executive so that they can be addressed.
We will be implementing price increases for some components related to CME applications
submitted by Chapters in conjunction with the new system launch. The new fee schedule is as
follows:

Note: The 10% fee for Chapter/3rd Party activities is based on the gross activity income (including
commercial support, advertising/exhibit income and other income).
Application Timelines
 Live Activities – 30 days from date of 1st occurrence
 Enduring Materials – 60 days from date of release
Rush Fee Guidelines
 When the applicant requests an application to be rushed.
 When an application is submitted via the online CME system less than 30 days before the
live activity date, or less than 60 days before the requested enduring material release date.
