POSITION: Housing Services Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
SALARY: As per agency salary schedule
FLSA: Non-Exempt
JOB SUMMARY: The person in this position is responsible Tenant Based Rental
Assistance (TBRA) Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) and for assessment of family
housing needs, knowledge of available housing stock, familiarity with common barriers
facing renters and homeowners, and the coordination of services to help individuals and
families secure adequate and improved housing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Assess and counsel individuals and families who are seeking or are eligible
for potential housing program services.
2. Provide accurate information to clients and communities regarding current
rental availability and housing stock.
3. Screen and process all applications for housing /rental/deposit requests.
4. Provide support and oversight for county outreach office staff within
designated service area.
5. Provide technical assistance to outreach offices and staff as required.
6. Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of all mandated reports, including
oversight of county outreach office reporting.
7. Work with UDMO Program/Outreach Directors to provide updated referral
services and assistance to qualifying individuals and families.
8. Attend mandated trainings, meetings and seminars as required to remain up to
date with peers in the profession. Attendance at non-mandated meetings,
trainings and seminars is encouraged.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

BA / BS in Human Services, Social Work, General Studies, Business or
related experience, or AA in same fields with minimum of 5 years’
experience in Human Service field.
Excellent computer experience and knowledge.
Previous supervisory experience.
Excellent record keeping abilities, ability to work with details and
mandatory computerized reports.
Knowledge of community resources with understanding of needs of lowincome population.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel in identified service delivery area.
Viable means of transportation.
Ability to perform medium heavy work, exerting up to 50 pounds of
force on occasion, up to twenty pounds frequently, and up to 5-10 pounds
constantly, performing such activities as stooping, kneeling, crouching,
reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, including
some duties requiring repetitive motion for limited amounts of time.
