Creating an Ecosystem
An ecosystem is an environment with living and nonliving things that affect each other, or interact.
This project will be researched and completed AT HOME.
Your assignment: Create a 3 Dimensional product of one of the following ecosystems:
*Freshwater Ecosystem (pond, river, lake)
*Forest Ecosystem (rainforest, deciduous forest, coniferous forest)
*Desert Ecosystem
*Tundra Ecosystem (arctic)
*Saltwater Ecosystem (ocean, coral reef)
*Plains Ecosystem (savannas, grasslands)
Your project will need to illustrate the following:
1) The terrain (what the landscape looks like)
2) Temperature/climate
3) Five or more different examples of plants found in that ecosystem
4) Five or more different examples of animals found in that ecosystem
5) Identify plants and animals by labeling each, or by using a key
6) Tell the geographic location of your ecosystem. For example: The Taklimaken Desert

Grades for this project will be based on the following criteria:
1) Effort - 20 points
2) Creativity - 20 points
3) Accuracy of Research that it pertains to your ecosystem - 20 points
4) All 6 criteria (listed above) including finished product - 40 points
