Mobisol Ltd has been established in 2013 to foster and expand our operations within the Tanzanian market and accompany our growth in East Africa. As part of our expansion plan in Tanzania, Mobisol Ltd is looking for Technology Teamleader for our Central Zone Hub. The Technology Teamleader will base in our office in Dodoma Region. Responsibilities The main role is primarily responsible for the setup of the zone’s technical department and oversees all the activities of this department (including assembling, maintenance and refurbishment). The responsibilities include but not limited to: Management and administration Collect, review &merge all reports from the Assembling & Refurbishment team and send to Technical Department in Berlin and Managing Director in Tanzania Supervision of the Refurbishment team in close collaboration with distribution and Assembling in order to set the right working priorities for the teams (ie. sometimes spare controllers are more urgent, other times repairing hardware like RBs, SBs, MCs, TVs etc…) Oversee current stock and availability of spare parts for refurbishment, as well as support the Head of Assembly in ensuring the availability of all components in order to avoid shortages Collect dis-functional SIM cards, indicate number of the SIM cards not working in the monthly report as well as submit the SIM cards to Logistics Department for returning back to MNOs, Finance to be informed for billing reconciliations Oversee proper handling of repossessed systems and /or components like batteries & panels. This includes testing, repairing, refurbishment and classifying components in line with guidelines developed in Berlin, might also include incorporating new/future guidelines e.g. possible future re-sale of repossessed systems Ensure Server Phone has enough credit/bundle for customers to receive SMS Authorize/approve staff leave requests, monitoring of all staff absences documented in the official company forms with copy to HR department for update of leave records Capacity Building Create & Conduct further trainings to the Technical staff as well as other departments such as Customer care, Makie trainers, Sales & Marketing … Assist Customer Care department in finding solutions to daily problems with customers’ systems, including possible arrangements to send replacement components like panels or batteries if necessary Develop and implement Health and Safety policies Reporting: Work process &Authority The Zonal technology Teamleader is reporting to the Managing Director and Technical Director in Berlin. Take part in bi-weekly Technical meeting with the Technical departments in Berlin and Rwanda Report toHead of Logistics regarding timely ordering of SIM Cards from Mobile Network Operators (MNOs)and communicate with technical team of MNOs about technical issues with SIM Cards Ensure team’s TORs are in place and updated as and when necessary Review the team’s performance timely and ensure staff contracts are up to date in collaboration with HR Department Authority: The Technology Teamleader (TT) has disciplinary and technical authority over the staff of the Zonal Technical Department and the respective Technical Contractors The Head of Technical Department should act as a Team Leader and Representative of all Technical Staff Furthermore, the Technology teamleader should be a representative of the company’s values and goals within the Zone Job requirement Qualifications and skills required: Bachelor Degree in Electrics and/or Electronics, Engineering, IT Communication or any other related field 3+ years of experience in a similar position with a similar level of responsibility Experience in managing a team of more than 8 people Highly-organized with clear dissemination and collection of information to / from a team Strong sense of urgency and deadline driven, Ability to Set Team Prorities Experience in Business Reporting and Strategic Planning Dynamic self-starter, high energy and strong initiative Ability to research, reconcile & communicate technical data to various recipients Effective team management& high level of interpersonal skills, talent for dissemination of technical knowledge to the team Willingness to travel in the Zone assigned Fluency in CO-specific language and English How to apply Please send your Detailed CV, Cover letter and a designed PowerPoint presentation of what you will do in the first three months if you will be selected for the position.
