A New Information Hub for Allergy Sufferers
A brand new website, haymax.biz, from the makers of the pollen barrier balm for hayfever sufferers,
has just launched. The site aims to give visitors unbiased information about allergies to airborne
particles and to be a valuable information hub, providing useful and interesting news about
airborne allergies, including hayfever.
This attractive, easy to use, free resource features the Allergy Guide where visitors can find out more
about hayfever, dust and pet allergies and how to manage them. It’s a useful area for people with
allergies, and also for parents, guardians, carers and friends and family of hayfever sufferers,
providing information and ideas about their allergy and how to manage it.
The Allergy Guide gives information on conventional medicines, herbal help, acupuncture,
acupressure and other drug-free and natural remedies for airborne allergy sufferers. It explains the
pollen count and where to find the latest forecast, and provides dietary suggestions for hayfever,
dust and pet allergy sufferers, as well as tips for parents with children suffering with airborne
allergies, including how to cope during exam time.
Haymax.biz is updated regularly with the latest hayfever news from around the world. It explains
how HayMax works, publishes the evidence behind HayMax products from independent trials and
has useful information about all of the awards (27 and counting!) that HayMax has won. And you
can find out the fascinating story behind the balm, and how it was invented.
HayMax is a drug-free, organic pollen barrier balm for hayfever sufferers. It is suitable for pregnant
and breast-feeding women and ideal for children and teenagers. It has no drowsy side-effects and
is simple to use – just apply a small amount around the nostrils in the morning and evening, and as
required during the day, when you feel the symptoms of your allergy starting.
It has been proven in independent studies to trap dust and pet allergens, and over one third of
pollen grains from entering the body [1] and works by preventing allergens entering the body; less
allergens, less sneezing.
HayMax™ balms retail at £6.99. They are available from Holland & Barrett, selected Boots, Morrisons
and Waitrose, independent chemists, pharmacies, health stores and retailers, on 01525 406600 and
from www.haymax.biz.

Why do we get hayfever?
Hayfever is a result of our immune system’s overreaction to pollen. Too much pollen stimulates the
body’s mast cells, which then break or degranulate, releasing mediators that include histamines.
These mediators can cause many symptoms including the unpleasant itching, red eyes, runny nose,
sneezing, sore throat, and itchy roof of the mouth and ears associated with hayfever.
About HayMax™
HayMax™ is not a cure for hayfever, but traps pollen before it enters the body. Hayfever is an
allergic reaction to pollen. Each person can tolerate a certain amount of pollen without reaction –
their ‘trigger’ level – below which they suffer no effects, but above that an allergic reaction occurs.
And as long as HayMax™ keeps the sufferer below their trigger level, they will have no allergic
reaction.
HayMax™ products have gained no less than 27 awards, including a recent Platinum Award from
Janey Lee Grace, a Highly Commended in the Natural Lifestyle Awards, a gold award from
bizziebaby.co.uk, the ‘Janey Loves’ logo, a nomination in the Vegetarian Society Awards 2010 and
the Allergy Friendly Product Award – which shows that products are beneficial for allergy sufferers
based on consumer opinion and approved by AllergyUK.
