Irish Wonder
This 9-day journey takes guests from the North to the South of Ireland with visits to noble cities including
Dublin, Limerick and Galway. Beginning and ending in Dublin, guests begin their Irish journey with a
panoramic sightseeing tour of Dublin Castle, Trinity College and St. Patrick’s Cathedral. The journey
continues north to Sligo where travellers view the ruins of Cistercian Abbey and visit the pilgrimage town
of Knock where according to legend, the Virgin Mary appeared to villagers in 1879. An excursion through
beautiful County Donegal and up into Northern Ireland to Belleek will have guests visiting castles,
traditional weavers and the grave of renowned Irish author, W.B. Yeats. On the way to Limerick, guests
will visit the beautiful region of Connemara and quaint town of Galway and view the Cathedral, built on
the site of the old prison and stroll through Eyre Square before continuing to Limerick, the setting for the
film, “Angela’s Ashes,” where views of St. Mary’s Cathedral and King John’s Castle are in store for
travellers. Guests will be in awe with a visit to the magnificent Cliffs of Moher and a visit to Blarney Castle
to kiss the Blarney Stone will surely give guests the “gift of the gab.”
Imperial Highlights
The Imperial Highlights 11-day trip to five countries begins in the Bavarian region of Munich with two
nights each in Prague, Budapest, Vienna and one night in Salzburg. In Munich, guests will love seeing the
Olympic Stadium, Ludwigstrasse and Marienplatz and perhaps to begin their journey, they will enjoy a
stein of beer at one of the beer halls for which Bavaria is world-renowned! Trafalgar travellers then cross
the border into the Czech Republic to Prague. A Local Guide will give guests a profound account of the
city’s rich history and also take them to see cobblestoned Old Town Square and St. Vitus Cathedral set
inside the 1,000 year old Prague Castle. The journey continues south to the capital of Slovakia, Bratislava
where guests can explore the streets of the quaint town area and then it’s off to the romantic city of
Budapest where they might enjoy a relaxing dinner cruise along the Danube with stunning views of the
Parliament, 19th century palaces and historical bridges. A Local Guide will show guests the twin cities of
Buda and Pest and they will admire the panoramic views of the city from Gellert Hill. In the elegant city of
Vienna, visits to the Hofburg, State Opera House and impressive City Hall are all in store for travellers
along with the opportunity to sample delicious Austrian cakes. A scenic drive along the Danube Valley will
take guests to Salzburg, famous for its musical heritage as the birthplace for Mozart and featured in the
classic film, “The Sound of Music.” An optional experience to go to the Eagle’s Nest on the journey back to
Munich is one guests will not want to miss with the breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys.
European Magic
A charming trip through six countries awaits Trafalgar travellers on the European Magic 15-day itinerary.
The perfect blend of included sightseeing and free time begins in London where guests can explore the
city at their own pace. Travelling by ferry to France will take guests to the glittering capital of Paris where
they will see the famous Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées and Arc de Triomphe. A free afternoon to discover
the endless charms of this magical city may include a walk along the Seine, a trip to the Louvre or a visit to
a famous Parisian Cabaret. Continuing south to Geneva, guests will get to visit the medieval town of
Beaune, the wine capital of the Burgundy region and later cross the border into Switzerland. Famous for
its International Film Festival, travellers will travel to Cannes where they can relax on the beach, shop for
designer goods or people watch while enjoying delicious French cuisine. Visits to Monaco, Pisa,
Montcatini and Florence are all along the way before guests visit the magical city of Venice where they’ll
enjoy visits to St. Mark’s Square and enjoy watching the Local Specialty as Venetian craftsmen create
works of art at a glassblowing workshop. The journey ends in Rome, the Eternal City, where a Local Guide
will take travellers to see St. Peter’s Basilica, Michelangelo’s masterpiece, the Pietà and the famous
Colosseum.
