RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF THE SERVICE GIVEN BY WILLIAM J LAHUE FOR THE COUNTY OF SISKIYOU WHEREAS, William “Bill” LaHue began his employment with the Siskiyou County Road Department as a Road Maintenance Worker I for the Happy Camp Road District on December 10, 1990, and; WHEREAS, Bill was later promoted to Road Maintenance Worker II on July 7, 1991. During this time Bill operated a wide variety of equipment including dump truck, backhoe, front-end loader and graders, and; WHEREAS, Bill was promoted to Assistant Road Maintenance Supervisor for the Happy Camp, Road District on January 11, 2009. In this capacity, Bill was in charge of supervising the day to day maintenance of the roads in the Happy Camp area of Siskiyou County. Bill supervised all aspects of road maintenance and construction projects, from winter floods to summer chip sealing projects for the Siskiyou County Road Department in the Happy Camp area. His work also included removal of rock slides, snow removal, flood damage, brushing and general road maintenance, and; WHEREAS, Bill has seen and dealt with fires, floods and snow storms in his career, he has handled them all exceptionally well with professionalism and expertise, and; WHEREAS, it was a pleasure working with Bill. Bills fellow workers wish him well in his retirement. Enjoy your fishing trips you have earned them, and; WHEREAS, Bill has chosen April 3, 2015, for the date of his retirement. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Siskiyou County Board of Supervisors expresses its appreciation for the 24 years of dedicated service for which William J LaHue has given the County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board takes great pleasure in congratulating Bill and wishes him a satisfying and rewarding retirement.
