Final Discussion

This disease started in Washington D.C as a result of contaminated pond water. A series of people were infected with the Dengue Fever. This disease is normally found in tropic and sub tropic regions. Dengue Fever is transmitted through a mosquito bite. The symptoms of Dengue Fever are a sudden high fever and a flat rash may appear over most of the body. A second rash, which looks like measles, appears later in the disease. Other symptoms may include headache, fatigue, joint aches, muscles aches, swollen lymph nodes, and vomiting. The treatments of

Dengue Fever are supportive therapy, oral rehydration therapy, platelet transfusion, and supplementation with intravenous fluids.

The pond became infected with the Dengue Fever because Lupita transferred Inca holy water with mosquito larvae into the pond.

Two other cases of Dengue Fever were reported, Lionel and

Naomi. This was proven by using a BLAST and the symptoms allowed them to deduce the disease. These individual spent countless hours near and around the contaminated pond. The containment of this disease will be the quarantine and removal of the pond.
