CHILDREN’S CLOTHING & TOY SALE
SELLER INSTRUCTIONS
General Information:
 We accept clean, top quality, new and used children’s clothing, sizes 0-20 for boys and sizes 018 for girls, as well as baby equipment and toys. No maternity clothes please. Sellers receive
70% of their sales and Bear Valley MOPS will receive 30% that will you will be able to claim as a tax
deduction. You will be given a receipt for your 30% “donation” to the sale when you pick up your
check.

Pick up your check and any unsold, non-donated items
Any checks not picked up will be considered donations to MOPS
Any unsold items not picked up during this time will be donated to charity
I.D.’s will be checked during check distribution.

Checks will be mailed within one week of the Sale
No item pick up necessary, all unsold items will be donated to charity
Ticket Information:
 Seller Number:

Your SELLER NUMBER (assigned to you during registration) is your identification
throughout the sale and is used to calculate earnings
 Number of Tickets Per Seller
o Items can be combined and counted as one unit (i.e. 2 sleepers priced together as one item)
o All sellers receive 100 stickers and tickets
o Sellers volunteering one 3-hour shift receive an additional 50 tickets for a total of 150
o Sellers volunteering for 2 3-hour shifts will receive a total of 300 tickets (one shift can be
from another family member within the same household)
o Sellers volunteering for 4 or more 3-hour shifts will receive an unlimited amount of tickets
(only one shift can be from another family member within the same household)
o If one shift is from another family member within the same household please have them
register on www.myconsignmentmanager.com/bearvalleymopssale as a volunteer
only and sign up for a shift. Then, please email Inga Lisa at imj2911@gmail.com with the
name of the volunteer and the name of the seller so the seller will get credit for the
volunteer’s hours

You MUST use 60-67 lb card WHITE stock paper weight
Copy paper or colored card stock WILL NOT be allowed and all items will be given back and
asked to be re-tagged
We recommend using a laser printer as some ink printers will smudge
 If ink on tags is smudged too greatly, the scanning system will not work
You have the ability to enter all your items on
www.myconsignmentmanager.com/bearvalleymopssale and print from a different location
than the original computer it was entered on.
You are given the option for each item if you would like to DISCOUNT and/or DONATE
 DISCOUNT means:
 This item will be discounted 50% on Saturday only
 Discount will be taken at register
 All discounted items not sold will be given back to seller unless marked DONATE
 DONATE means:
 This item will be donated to a charity if it does not sell
 It will NOT be given back to the seller
 If you choose to donate ALL items, you will be considered a MOPS DROP Seller
Again, you are given the option to discount and/or donate the item
If you make a mistake or want to change anything on the ticket, you may edit that particular
ticket at any time
Size Categories: Newborn (NB), 0-3mos, 3-6 mos, 6-12 mos, 18mos, 24mos, 2T, 3T, 4T, and 5 thru 20 for
boys and size 18 for girls.
Receiving Information:

Please make sure that ALL items are in excellent condition, clean, smoke-free, and properly
ticketed before you drop them at MOPS Sale Receiving.
All items will be checked before you leave. Thank you!
Items will not be accepted if any of the following exist:
*Stained or discolored
*Have missing or mismatched buttons
*Smell like smoke or other strong odors
*Have broken zippers or snaps
*Have excessive pillage or wear
*Are torn
*Are outdated
*Have holes

Unaccepted MOPS Drop items will be donated to charity
We do not accept maternity wear including nursing bras
We will accept breast pumps that are in working condition, clean, and sanitized
Cloth diapers, underpants, etc., will only be accepted if they are in their original, factory
sealed packaging
 Tagging Garment
o

Pin the price tickets to your clothing items using safety pins (1” or longer).
PLEASE Do not use straight pins – items tagged with straight pins will be returned to
seller at time of drop off

Tagging guns are not permitted.
If any tags are lost due to this pinning method, BV MOPS Consignment sale is not held liable
Pin horizontally where the tag states "pin here"
Place tickets on the upper right side of the garment, as it faces you, whether the item is
hung or folded (See example below)

CAUTION: Safety pins will leave permanent holes in certain fabrics, please use care when
pinning your items
If the item is hung, hangers must be wire or unbreakable plastic - please not that no
hangers will be returned
Use safety pins to secure 2-piece garments together
The hook of the hanger should be toward the left shoulder as it faces you – please see
example above
Please sort clothes by sex and size and if they are donated before you bring them
to MOPS Sale Receiving. This will greatly aid us in moving the receiving line
quickly. Thank you!
 Tagging Footwear
o All footwear must be clean and the soles not more than 50% worn
o Affix a piece of duct tape with Seller # and price on the bottom of each shoe
o Shoes that cannot be secured together must be placed in a zip-lock bag and taped closed
o Please affix your ticket securely to the shoes or to the outside of the bag using a piece of
packing tape on both sides of the ticket
o Do not tape over all of the ticket
o All footwear will be returned to seller
 Toys/Puzzles/Books/DVDs & BluRays

The tagging system will ask for as size when entering toys, please enter "NA" or age
appropriate sizing
Toys with multiple parts must have all parts together in a zip-lock bag and secured with tape
and tag taped to the outside of the bag using tape on both sides of the ticket
Puzzles must be plastic wrapped and taped with clear packing tape with ticket taped to the
outside of the wrap
Books and DVDs must be in a zip-lock bag, taped closed, and have ticket taped to the
outside of the wrap
We do not accept VHS and Cassette tapes
Please secure the ticket to the outside of the bag or plastic wrap using clear packing tape tape BOTH sides of the ticket
Battery operated toys must have working batteries in place

We do not accept stuffed toys/animals - the exceptions are educational stuffed
toys/animals such as VTech speaking toys
 Baby Equipment/Furniture/Bikes

Bring items CLEAN and ready to sell
Items with excessive stains, holes or wear will not be accepted
Equipment or Furniture with multiple pieces must be secured together (zip ties are
recommended) OR in original box
Please tape the price ticket to the item in an obvious location
Use clear packing tape to secure BOTH sides of the ticket, leaving the bar code exposed
If there are multiple pieces, use only ONE sale ticket and write the seller and item number
along with 1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3, etc. on a separate piece of paper and securely affix it in an
easily identified location on each piece
Due to space restrictions, we will only accept twin size mattresses if they are being sold with
a headboard and footboard - individual crib mattresses are the only exception.
Please disassemble cribs and other large items - we recommend bringing a photo of the
assembled item and attaching it near the price ticket
NO DROP-SIDE CRIBS WILL BE ACCEPTED
Bedding
 Please secure all comforter or bedding sets in clear plastic bags to avoid any pieces
being removed or separated
 Please do not tape bedding closed so it can be inspected during receiving
Car Seats
 Car Seats MUST be manufactured less than 6 years ago to be accepted. The
manufacturer’s label must be stamped as 2010 or newer
 Please refer to the manufacturer’s label on the car seat for date of manufacture
