WARNING ORDER 707 RC(Air)CS Field Training Exercise “OPERATION SAPLING” 17-19 FEB 2012 1. 707 RC(Air)CS will be conducting a Field Training exercise on the third weekend of FEBuary 2012. 2. The exercise will cover a variety of topics including leadership techniques, aircrew survival and biathlon training. 3. Attending one FTX per year is MANDATORY training for all cadets. 4. Cadets are to be dropped of NO LATER THEN 1730 on 17 FEB 2012 at the Royal Canadian Legion Stouffville. The pickup time will be 1430hrs sharp at the Royal Canadian Legion Stouffville on 19 FEB 2012. 5. Meals and snacks will be provided to the attendees free of charge. 6. Dress a. FRIDAY: Complete Olive Drab or appropriate civilian attire. b. SATURDAY: Complete Olive Drab or appropriate civilian attire. c. SUNDAY: Complete Olive Drab or appropriate civilian attire. 7. Items to bring: i. See attached kit list. 8. Attendees will receive initial instruction from staff on the Friday with regards to the exercise operations. 9. Sunscreen 1 Pair of winter boots (waterproof and at least 6 inches high) Appropriate civilian clothing -Warm winter coat (waterproof) -Warm snow pants (1 pair) -2 pairs of base layer clothing (top and bottom) -5 pairs of warm socks -3 pairs of undergarments -2 pairs of long johns -2 pairs of warm gloves -2 fleece pullovers or sweaters -3 long-sleeved t-shirts -1 pair of winter boots Sport sunglasses or ski goggles 1 Toque 1 shower towel A positive attitude!!!!!!! NCO’s MUST BRING AN FMP or NOTEPAD WITH PENCILS HEALTH CARD You will not be allowed on the trip without it!!!! All medication is to be surrendered to Capt. Harvey prior to departure and will be distributed as required. Prohibited Items: -Knives/blades/weapons of any kind (Senior NCOs are allowed to bring a fixed blade knife) -Fire starting equipment -Pornography and offensive material -Alcohol or drugs (non-medical) -Unauthorized electronics with earpieces If you are found with any of the prohibited items your presence at the event will immediately be terminated, your parents called whom will proceed to site to return you home. The next training night a meeting with the CO will determine if you will continue to be allowed membership in the Cadet Movement.
