3rd Veteran Fencing Cup
We would like to invite you to take part in the 3rd Veteran Fencing Cup in Satu Mare (Romania) that
will be organised by A.S Pilates - Education and Fencing Club Satu Mare.
The Fencing Club Satu Mare plays an important role in the history of Romanian fencing, as it has been
the cradle of many national and international champions. Satu Mare is well- known not only for its champions
but also for its trainers who made it possible for the fencers to succeed on a high level -fencing having been a
tradition in our small town for decades.
Location: Satu Mare (Sathmar) Romania
Venue: Fencing Club from Satu Mare (sala de scrimă “Alexandru Csipler”)

Registration period: 8:30- 9:15
The competition begins at 09:30 AM
- 9:30 → Epée ladies/ men
- 12:00 → Foil ladies/ men
The finals begins at 5:00 PM
Participants: Internationally open
Entitled to Participate are all veteran fencers (40+, 50+, 60+, 70+) in all types of weapon.
A medical certificate is not required; a discharge of responsibility must be signed by each
participant.
Equipment: In accordance with the regulations of the Fencing Veterans Association.
Mask and costume should have a minimum of 350N. Plastron 800N is mandatory.
Technical Committee reserves the right to withhold the participation of the fencer if his or her
equipment does not meet the technical condition.
Arms control: Control of weapons and equipment will be carried on piste before every fight.
Competition formula: Competitions will take place in the following formula:
• two preliminary qualifications in groups are carried; fight lasts three minutes or
up to 5 hits;
• after two qualifying rounds, no one drops out;
• based on the ranking list the direct elimination list is fixed;
• every bout lasts 2 times x 3 minutes or up to 10 hits; two periods of three minutes,
separated by one minute rest.

Gala Dinner (optional): 100 Ron
Smoking is prohibited in the Sport Hall.
