AP Degree Programme in Chemical and Biotechnical Science This degree will qualify you to work in jobs within: Bio-, Chemistry and Food Technology Microbiology Medicine Presentation The degree concentrates on biological and chemical technologies. You will learn the basic conditions for executing tests and analyzing products within the areas of medicine, foods and chemical industry. Job functions You can as a technician work in either a private or public company’s technical laboratory within production, development, counseling and control. You can further test and control commodity and processed foods before they reach the consumer. You can also use your technical and professional knowledge to develop new products such as medicine, cosmetics and paint. Program structure The degree takes two and a half years. The programme consists of a compulsory and an elective part and the programme differ between theoretical lectures and practical work in a laboratory. The programme is completed with a one year internship. The internship will be assessed individually and will be the basis of your final exam. The degree allows further education and gives you credit towards either university degrees or engineering college i.e. Chemical Engineer, Food Science and Technology, Pharmacist, degrees in Biology, Biotechnology and Degrees in Environment.
